Skye & Eva,
As you are aware, I never had a dad. He never lived with us, I have no idea who he was, and a don’t even know where he is today. A part of me really missed the guidance a loving father should have given me as I was growing up, and I want to make sure that that never happens to you. I don’t plan to go anywhere anytime soon, but I wanted to make sure you had guidance from me no matter what, so I’m writing this series of my thoughts in a book for the two of you.
I’m not planning on telling you what to do here. I won’t tell you that you are right or wrong. What you’ll find as you grow up is that parents don’t have the answers. We are just bigger people who are still asking questions and learning ourselves. What we do have to offer is our life experience, and that’s what I’m offering to you in this little book. I hope it helps you to ask the right questions of yourself. The answers are within you, not within me or anyone else. I know you’ll have a fantastic life if you just keep asking the questions.
Love,
Dad
